CANADEST is a professional firm specializing in business transfers offering services to entrepreneurs who wish to sell or buy existing businesses on a confidential basis. Courtiers d’entreprises CANADEST Inc. /CANADEST Business Brokers Inc., which currently covers the territory of all the Maritimes and Quebec, and soon aims to serve Ontario, is currently looking for a person to fill the position of Financial Analyst – Accounting & Business Valuation.
TASK DESCRIPTION:
- Planning, organizing, coordination, controlling and evaluate all of CANADEST’s financial analysis operations in Accounting and Finance concerns related to Business Valuation.
- Ensure the management of administrative activities related to Canadest and associated companies, as well as client companies.
- Proceed of Normalization of the financial statements of client companies using the FAT-Excel software (Financial Analyst Tool).
- Analyze these financial statements and their results to establish the fair market value of these client companies for a Business Valuation Report.
- Ensure the coordination to support Business Brokers in the process of implementation of the sales process of client companies and the coordination of their publication on the market. – Do prospecting to identify businesses for sale, as well as find potential buyers (business buyers) to help Canadest Business Brokers.
- Provide professional consultation and coaching to Sellers and Business Buyers for a smooth transfer and ensure proper monitoring of the sales process between stakeholders in a confidential manner in the process to help Business Brokers.
- Accompany sometimes the Buyers, so that they can obtain the financing of the coveted company and carry out the transaction and assist Business Brokers in that process. – Mastering financial instruments to guarantee flexible and innovative financing solutions that meet the needs of business transfers.
- Work in collaboration with other stakeholders and entities involved in the transfer of businesses such as lawyers, accountants, tax experts and other authorities etc. and preparing closing ceremonies.
- Prepare confidential business valuation reports (PVP/MPSP), assist in the drafting of CBO/RPE (PowerPoint) and preparing bilingual CBP/PCE reports as well.
- Supervise and take inventory of furniture, machinery, and equipment in preparation for CBP, as well as taking Inventory/ Stock when closing transactions of businesses sold.
- Assist in the creation of visual presentations (PowerPoint, economic indicators, research and analysis, etc.)
- Compile financial data and statistics while keeping up to date with economic news on business transfers in the provinces served.
- Ensure, monitor, analyze and supervise the profitability, growth, and good management of CANADEST and its future development.
- Ensure personnel management for the proper functioning of the company and set up a team of Business Brokers to develop other territories and coordinate their training, if necessary, as well as their tasks to support Business Brokers.
REQUIRED SKILLS AND KNOWLEDGE:
- Knowledge of research methods, valuation, financial data, analysis, and accounting with experience of at least 8-10 years in the field of financial statement analysis and cash flow management.
- Ability to use various computer programs including the Microsoft Office Suite and Sage-Simply Accounting software, FAT, etc.
- Have an interest for the world of business and finance as well as business transfer.
- Experience in dealing with bankers and other professionals, such as lawyers, accountants, and tax specialists.
- Knowledge of applicable compliance rules that must be followed in the field, or be able to learn and comply with them – Ability to work independently and ability to juggle multiple tasks – Excellent spoken and written knowledge of both official languages (French and English)
- Professionalism, initiative, ability to communicate well and ability for teamwork
- Post-secondary education required in accounting and/or finance, preferably including experience in management and IT. CPA or on his way would be recommend. Canadians and/or immigrants are welcome to apply.
WORKING CONDITIONS:
- Permanent position (1): 40 hours/week. Salary: to be discussed. Entry into office May 11, 2026, or according to the date of entry established by parties.
